Presidents’ Day in an exciting way!
Northeast has always had a special connection to Presidents’ Day
because of the many streets named after our presidents.
Join your neighbors for the 1.5 mile,
“We Love Our Presidents” Walk!
Saturday February 18th, 2012
10am-1:00pm
The celebration kicks off at 10 am at the Edison High School Gym, 700 – 22nd Ave. NE.
Walkers will leave the school and hike along 22nd Avenue to Central Avenue NE, turning North onto Central Avenue to the Eastside Food Co-op, 2551 Central Avenue NE where you can warm-up with a cup of hot cocoa. The walk will continue North on Central Avenue to 29th Street turning East and moving on to Northeast Middle School, 2955 Hayes NE, for fun activities, a chili lunch ($5.00 donation), Northeast history by Genny Zak Kieley, and a short program.
